See the Difference C-Frame Presses Can Make
C -frame presses (also known as C-type presses) are open on three sides so they can easily handle a variety of material sizes and shapes. C-frame presses can be fitted with different tooling for bending, punching, cutting or straightening applications.
Some of the standard features available on C-frame presses include:
Pressure regulator and gauge (to limit the ram pressure)
Adjustable speed control (to adjust ram pressing speed)
Adjustable stroke control
Distance reversal and pressure reversal switches
Ram travel guided by 4 precision-ground chromed rods.
Jog mode used for simplifying setups.
P.L.C. programmable control system.
Air-cooled industrial oil cooler.
Standard U-Slot table can quickly be removed to change out.
C-frame presses are a good choice for users working with small tools.
Get a 4-Post C-Frame Press for Durability
The 4-post C-frame hydraulic presses offered through Bud's Machine Tools provide extra durability for a longer life. While the ram cylinder provides the thrust to the upper platen for the pressing process, four specially-designed chromed rods attached to the corners of the upper platen keep it straight during ram travel. This helps compensate for frame flex issues and keeps the platens parallel for more accurate work.
The bodies of C-frame presses are also heavier than comparable presses of other styles at the same capacity. This design helps minimize any distortion that can occur since the ram cylinder of C-frames is off-center from the central axis of the body of the press.
