All the new Fadal VMC Series Machining Centers were designed from the ground up with these and more design criteria in mind.  When you set out to design an entirely new line up of CNC machine tools, covering 6 different models, you have indeed cut yourself out a worthy task. What machine tool builders find out very early in life is you can’t design a small machine and then just stretch it up to whatever size you need. It usually doesn’t work out that way. Utilizing a 7.5 h.p./10 peak h.p. main drive motor, the Fadal VMC-2015HS-II send its spindle power down via a direct drive gearbox with inverter controlled speed. Its high speed spindle, fast rapid travel, combined with a one second tool change, combined to reduce piece part cycle times considerably, while holding increased positioning accuracy and repeatability.
